Anyway, hey fellow Gauthiers... I wish I could say that I was busy with homework and what not, but this quarter has been awfully strange for me. I'm taking three studios (which would be considered a NIGHTMARE at my school), but it doesn't feel like I'm taking any classes. The workload's sooo incredibly light that it's bothering me. And what's also kind of irksome is that I'm taking my Concept Development where we're suppose to gear up and get our senior film idea and my professor's been great about discussing story and visual style, but we've done nothing to apply what we've learned towards our ideas. No homework (aside from a one-page movie analysis, that's it.) Even though the projects in my other two studios are pretty great, they're just far two spaced out in between... i know it sounds strange that i'm complaining about not having work.
anyway, i really have no clue what i'll be doing this summer. i just applied for a summer opening at my school's tea room just as a back up in case my summer internship applications falls through, which the lack of response reassures that.
sorry for having such a negative first post, but i'd be lying to you all if i said my life was completely honky-dory... why i just used that word i'll never know.
so on a more positive note, here's some music for you guys. one of my favorite electronic groups, hybrid, just released their forth studio album after quite a long hiatus. they brilliantly mix together live orchestrated strings with great beats and digital mixing. They teamed up with a lovely singer, Charlotte James, for their new album. Their latest single from the album, Break My Soul, is definitely one of my favorite tracks from them: Watch their music video here

ReplyDeleteYeah, I still listen to some Japanese music, but I'm definitely trying to broaden my musical tastes to other kinds of music too.
