Here's what he neighborhood looks like.

Our front porch.

Front Foyer. Oi those stairs were a menace to get stuff up there!

The front room. It's in a messy state right now, but we're going to let one of Jon's friends move in here for a while.

The middle room which is our living room. The hose to the left is our vacuum in case you were wondering.

Another view of the living room.

Kitchen. Along the top is Jon's collection of teas and wine bottles.

Another view of the kitchen.

Laundry in the kitchen.

Back deck.

And we've got an enclosed backyard. Not much, but the gate can open up and we can park cars in here. And we have a grill and had a great cookout with some of Jon's friends the other night and ate out on the back deck. Oh and the bleached out table was the old dining room table left in the apartment. Jon and I tried to sand it down and make it into his new desk, but gave up since there were some pretty deep cuts in it.

Our blurry shower.

Bathroom

And finally my room. I have a sweet sunroof which gives me great lighting throughout the day.

And my bed. In the dark corner is my closet and faintly you can see Jon's dresser in the left side. It was so heavy to move up to the second floor and the second floor corridor was too narrow to squeeze into Jon's bedroom, so we put it in my room.

Don't have pics of Jon's and Alex's rooms. They're still unpacking and Alex just left for a few weeks, so I didn't want to intrude into their rooms.
But that's my new apartment in a nutshell.
Thanks Reed - hope it is safe there.
ReplyDeleteAre there many apts in the one building? Is there one bathroom? I guess for 3 guys it's not a problem- now if there were 3 girls and one bathroom- watch out! Did you keep your dining room table? Looks like you have a little more there and a great porch to enjoy outside dining.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. It's always nice to know how things are going.
Love, Mom
Congrats on your 3 A's this quarter, Dude! I'm very proud of you.
Nope, it's just one apartment. And yup, one bathroom. Are you talking about the glass table? we had no room for it here so we stored it in our nifty little attic.
ReplyDeletethat is awesome Reed - I love the back yard grill out area. yum. And it is cool you have a skylight. Your front porch is barely a porch - but i like your pluck.
